Preston Herleth is a 2023 LHP/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends The Kinkaid. Medium build with plenty of room to get stronger. Extreme crossfire delivery on the mound with a low 3/4's arm slot, creates lots of angle to the plate, has energy at release, upper body tall and fall delivery, has deception especially for left handed hitters. Upper 70's fastball, can get fastball to both sides of the plate and throws lots of strikes with it, will cut fastball at times with good effect. Sweeping curveball has some depth, sells his change up well. Like the variety of pitches from a deceptive delivery and the number of strikes, should continue to add velocity. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall stance, swings hard with some uphill plane, aggressive approach that can get the ball to occasionally jump when squared. Good student.
