Byron Burrell is a 2024 OF/MIF with a 5-7 162 lb. frame from McKinney, TX who attends McKinney Boyd. Compact frame with present size and strength to both halves. Ran a 6.78 in the 60-yard dash. Showed good adjustments and a quick first step in both infield and outfield drills. Fields out front and funnels well with accurate, on-line throws. Fundamental in his approach and stays under control in both spots. Right-handed hitter, wide base and upright stance and big loading mechanism. Fast hands that project for strength in profile, good backside intent and separation. Solid impact off the bat with good intent and strength to the pull side that showed in game. Handles the barrel well. Excellent student.
