Jack Hobson is a 2023 3B/RHP/IF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Sarasota, FL who attends Out-Of-Door Academy. Present strong build. Right handed hitter, hits from a high hand/leg raise set up, shows good bat speed, can get downhill in his path at times from his hand load but creates back spin and carry when he's squared up, impacts the ball hard at times. 7.02 runner in the sixty. Showed solid arm strength at third base with a long and loose arm, moves well laterally for his size, charges the ball with good balance. Also took a turn on the mound, has a compact delivery with a leg tuck start and tight 3/4's arm slot, has some energy at release that impacts his consistency. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, best fastballs at the lower velo ranges with good sinking life. Primary fastball pitcher, flashed a slider and change up. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
