2022 Summer Midwest Workout Showcase (July 7)
Gavin Obremski is a 2024 C/RHP, OF with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Stevens Point, WI who attends Mosinee. He has a big frame with present strength and athleticism. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.08 seconds. Primary catcher that has good footwork behind the plate. He showed good anticipation and smooth transfers. He is quick behind the plate with his lower half and utilizes a short arm action to deliver the ball to second in a timely manner. He throws with a loose arm and generated nice carry on his throws. Switch hitter that has a similar set up on both sides of the plate. As a left-handed hitter, he uses a quick stride and a rotational swing. He has fast, strong hands that allow the barrel to whip through the zone and causes the ball to jump off his bat. As a right-handed hitter, he utilizes a short, direct swing path to the ball. He showed power potential by blasting the last pitch of his round over the left field fence. From both sides he looks to work the ball into the gaps and can leverage the ball deep into the outfield. Named to the Summer Midwest Workout Showcase (July 7) Top Prospect List. Excellent student.
