Cason Pope is a 2026 RHP/MIF/OF with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Benson, NC who attends Cape Fear Christian Academy. Medium frame with lean current build and a lot of time to build overall muscularity. Primary position RHP, working from the full windup in the middle of the rubber. Offset start with hands at the chest with smooth operation to balance and chest high leg lift before breaking into deep mostly inline arm path. Arm was chasing the body to get in time a bit but when synched up the ball jumped out of his hand. FB up to 79 mph with significant arm side life, challenging RHHS. CB was a bit inconsistent but will progress with time and getting more extension. Nice projection here. Secondary IF, making plays with deliberate actions and pretty solid glove work. Could stand to get into his angles quicker but the arm played here as well as in the outfield. Throws from both the IF and OF were in the upper-70s and accurate. RHH starting upright and slightly open, using a good handset at the shoulders. Bat path is a bit steep but when on plane, made his best impact. Pull oriented approach and will develop more barrel feel with time and physicality. Young arm to follow for sure.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
