Nathan Martinez is a 2022 SS/C, 2B, 3B with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Guayama, PR who attends Albergue Olímpico Baseball Academy. Recorded a 7.36 second sixty-yard dash time. Smaller, compact frame with room to fill out and add strength. Primary middle-infielder with smooth, fluid actions throughout the fielding process. Quick twitch movements into the fielding process with good lateral range and soft hands. Works downhill through the baseball, transferring fairly quick into release. Recorded arm strength up to 82 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small hover trigger. Simple swing mechanics with quickness to his hands and consistent bat-to-ball skills. Middle-of-the field approach with line drive swing plane, good feel for the barrel and some emerging power potential. Shows good adjustability in his swing with the ability to turn the barrel well on the inner-half. Intriguing present tools with some upside on both sides of the ball. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
