Ridge Morgan is a 2024 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends Westwood. Features a bigger build with strength present. Primary right-handed pitcher. Throws from a short arm action. Still developing fluidity throughout the arm swing. Fastball sat 87-89 mph with sinking action. Showed spin rates around 2200 rpm. Flatter, upper-70’s sweeper got up to 9” of horizontal break. Can create high spin on the offering, showing spin rates over 2700 rpm. Flashed some of the same arm strength on the infield, reaching 85 mph across the diamond. Range profiles best for a corner spot. Hands will stab at the catchpoint at times. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a narrow base stance with a high hand setup. Swings on a longer path with strength at contact. Looks to drive the ball pullside. Still developing overall barrel accuracy. Ran a 7.47 60-yard dash. Excellent student. Verbal commit to Texas.
