Issei Takahashi is a 2024 OF/LHP with a 5-8 172 lb. frame from Hartland, WI who attends Arrowhead. Medium frame with compact, strong build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.15 seconds. Hits from slightly open and leaned back stance, clean lower half with good drive and direction, stays compact with hands and takes direct stroke to the ball, low effort and repeatable, gets the barrel out on time and beats the ball to the spot, good hitting tools with some power to the pull-side. Worked out in the outfield, fields off to the side, shows repeatable footwork, clean arm stroke with solid accuracy, clocked up to 78 mph. Named to 2023 Midwest Indoor Top Prospect List, very good student.
