2022 West Uncommitted Showcase (2022 Grads)
Chase Taylor is a 2022 RHP/C, 1B, 3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Bonita Vista. Strong looking frame with a medium frame and strength throughout. Primary right-handed pitcher that works from an abbreviated windup with some effort into and through release. Uses a small side-step into a coiled leg lift balance point. Incorporates drop-and-drive lower half mechanics and shorter stride down the slope. High effort thrower with developing command of the strike zone. Displayed longer arm swing into a high three-quarters release. Fastball worked in the 72-78 mph range with slight cut to it. Mixed in hard diving splitter as his changeup, a short cutter with horizontal action and slurve shaped breaking ball that flashed some bite. Will continue to improve with less effort to his release and refinements mechanically. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
