Brayden Appel is a 2026 RHP/2B, OF with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Chadds Ford, PA who attends Unionville. Primary right-handed pitcher with a medium frame and lean build. Recorded a 8.01 second 60-yard dash time. Side step working from third base side of the rubber with hands at chest starting point. Tucked leg lift to belt and medium arm swing to a 3/4 slot delivery. Ran the fastball up to 62 mph (1573 RPM) with cut-action and breaking ball out of same slot with a little more depth and speed deferential at 58 mph (1732 RPM). Slightly closed landing down the slope and cut-action on fastball add to his present stuff with control of the arm side half of the plate. Secondary outfielder with controlled actions on approach with a clean one-hand gather and exchange on throws to the bases at 65 mph. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and slightly open stance in the box. Inverted front foot with heal-lift trigger stride and high hands. Tight swing with hands close to the body with inside-out approach staying inside the ball. Added size and strength will add increased impact as he matures. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
