Yvan Douglas is a 2024 C/RHP, 1B with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Tampa Jesuit. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout build. Ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, higher set up behind the plate during drills, shows flexibility to actions, gains ground with long stride out of crouch, arm strength plays and shows carry down to the intended base. Also pitched, athleticism plays in delivery, works quickly and throws with intent; quick arm through the backside, generates life to fastball up to 83 mph. Mixed in a quality slider, short and late biting life with tight spin up to 73 mph; turned over a changeup with diving action to lefties. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; balanced set up and utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing. Big intent in swing, stays short to the ball and generates nice present bat speed through the zone. Quick hands, hits the ball out front and generates backspin off of the barrel, consistent and hard line drive contact to the middle of the field. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
