Miguel Covarrubias is a 2022 2B/3B, SS with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Patrick Henry Academy. Medium, athletic frame with potential for added physical strength. Recorded a 7.41 60-yard time. Primary second baseman, with sound defensive actions with the ability to make the routine type plays. He works behind the ball and shows true carry with accuracy across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, beings with a slightly open stance, holds hands high. Has line drive type hitting approach with quickness in hands and developing raw strength in swing. Rotational at times with swing but creates nice present bat speed through the zone, repeats well and often on time with simple shift through lower half. Showed sound approach in game and found the barrel well working the middle of the field. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
