Ryan Pevney is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from San Marcos, CA who attends San Marcos. Good length to the build with more in store as the body continues to fill out, projection going forward. Primary right-handed pitcher. High three-quarter set and over the top delivery with good extension on his front side. Clean, repeatable mechanics. Fastball toped 83 mph and lived high-70s with subtle arm-side run. Showed feel for a late mid-60s curveball with tight depth and 11-5 shape. Missed bats well with both. Secondary outfielder, showed promising arm strength and confidence in the charge. Right-handed hitter, upright and closed lower half. High hand set, high back elbow in the set. Ability to work the entire field. Showed some jump off the barrel when squared. Intriguing upside on the mound with two-way potential. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
