Derrick Carter is a 2026 1B/LHP, OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Hahira, GA who attends Lowndes. Medium frame with solid build; ran 60 yard dash in 8.39 seconds. Graded out better on the mound in this event, high 3/4 slot with fastball worked 76-80 mph, creates heavy arm side life with plane, arm speed stands out, some feel to spin the baseball, curveball inconsistent but flashed depth, developing feel for throwing strikes consistently. Solid footwork and general movements around the bag at 1B, quick release on throws. Swings it from slightly open stance with high back elbow, hovering trigger, hips stay open through swing and create slicing bat path, flashed feel for using the opposite field. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
