Joseph Cordoba is a 2021 C with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL. Medium frame with a stocky, physical build showing strength in the lower half. Ran a 7.79 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting down in his stance with athleticism as he proved to have some flexibility as well. Receives the baseball with confidence and proved to have feel for framing the baseball. Did a great job blocking balls up in game and left runners stranded with his defensive skills. Comes out of crouch quickly on throw downs and is urgent with the transfer. Recorded a pop time of 1.95 seconds with throws on the money. Projects well behind the dish going forward as the instincts were on full display. Right-Handed Hitter, starting from a balanced stance with an open front side. Low load to stride as he creates separation while landing in a good hitting posture. Utilized a downhill swing path as he looked to generated backspin. Pull-side power showing when he got extended and projects more juice down the road. Great Student. Named to World Uncommitted Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
