Ervin Dorsett III is a 2024 SS/C, MIF with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from St. Thomas, VI who attends Antilles School. Recorded a 7.69 second 60 yard dash time. Primary shortstop who showed the ability to throw from different arm slots and make accurate throws across the diamond at 68 mph. Waits back on it and funnels into the middle of the body. Shuffles into the throw and takes momentum towards the target. Secondary catcher with a short arm action and whip to the throw. Gains ground towards second base and made accurate throws to the bag. Recorded a 2.14 second pop time at 67 mph. Pop time will increase as he makes a more direct exchange at the chest. Will see velocity increase as he gets stronger. Switch hitter who starts with an open stance and a high elbow set. Uses a short leg lift trigger and level plane with loose and easy hands. Bat speed will continue to develop as he grows and gets stronger. Good student.
