Matai Anzaldua is a 2025 2B/C with a 5-6 115 lb. frame from Copperas Cove, TX who attends Copperas Cove. Smaller frame with a lean build and plenty of room to fill out. Ran an 8.48 second 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, rounds the ball well and moves around the dirt with some lower half athleticism in working through the ball. Shows softness to hands and actions that project as he adds arm strength. Also worked out in the outfield, shows similar athleticism with a clean line to the plate in working through the ball, clean transfers and shows similar arm strength. Right-handed hitter, sets up narrow and slightly open with a high back elbow. Shows present bat to ball skills with some feel for the barrel, but needs improved strength to create jump and carry off impact.
