Gabriel Coca is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Walnut Creek, CA who attends De La Salle. Outstanding young athletic build with tons of physical projection ahead. 6.95 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, long and athletic strides to the ball, fields the ball cleanly off his front foot, good gather into his throws and carries his momentum well, lots of on line carry on his throws. Also worked out in the infield but projects best in the outfield. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a well timed load and timer, direct swing with some separation through contact, middle of the field line drive approach, swung it well in the games. Took a turn on the mound, has a simple high leg raise delivery with a medium length arm action and a tight 3/4's arm slot, some drop and drive down the mound. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with some running action, also threw a soft curveball and a change up that showed promise. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
