Dylan Bryan is a 2023 LHP/1B with a 6-1 162 lb. frame from Lutherville, MD who attends Loyola-Blakefield HS. Dylan is a long and lean, noticeably athletic player who has the frame to add size and strength as he matures. In addition to his noticeable ability on the diamond, Dylan is also an accomplished student. He ran a 7.34 60 yard dash. A primary LHP, Dylan shows great promise, He utilizes a full wind up and incorporates a chest high leg lift. His solid lower half drive and low three-quarters arm slot add great deception to his mechanical operation. His 78-82 mph fastball shows consistent running action and is routinely worked to the lower half of the zone. His 68 mph looser spinning curveball is thrown from various arm slots and is a nice complement to his active fastball. A lot to work with here. Dylan also took a turn at 1B. His footwork is solid and his hands are smooth and easy. He shows plus athleticism around the bag. His transition and arm stroke play well here. His 82 mph throws show firm carry and consistent accuracy. Dylan truly shines with a bat in his hands. He starts with a slightly open, fairly wide base. He shows a little wrap to the barrel, but his hands work and his timing is consistent. He triggers quickly and incorporates a flatter path with slight lift at contact. He has a plus feel for the barrel and gets to and through contact aggressively. Nice round. Dylan is a prospect who possesses the tools to advance to the next level. With added strength and exposure to upper level competition, his game is sure to elevate. Solid prospect!
