Owen Ewton is a 2023 RHP/MIF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Denison, TX who attends Denison. Compact frame with good athleticism and twitchy strength. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.50 seconds. Primary position RHP who took the mound with aggression and intent. Displayed a quick arm and good hand speed, creating a FB with good life that sat in the low to mid 80's and peaked several times at 86 mph. Showed feel for a two-seam FB with arm side run in the low 80's. Also used a firm, mid 70's slider that had decent tilt and depth that proved to be a true swing and miss pitch. Pounded the zone with strikes, worked fast and showed a sound repeatable delivery. Excellent pitchability at the present with the expectation that his stuff will continue to trend upward. Good student.
