Austin Liss is a 2025 OF/RHP, 3B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Odessa, FL who attends Steinbrenner. He ran a 7.59 second sixty. A primary outfielder with a tall skinny build that shows room to fill moving forward. In the outfield he showed some feel for the mechanics coming through the ball with balanced footwork working into his throws with some arm strength topping out at 84 mph. On the infield he showed good actions with the hands as he funnels and gets rid of the ball quickly with accuracy. On the mound he works on line from the windup as he comes down the hill with a medium arm circle working up to a high three-quarters slot, the fastball sat 76-83 mph spotting up well to the arm side when the release is on time out front. The curveball landed consistently with big 12-6 shape that has the traits of a quality secondary as he continues to develop. Right-handed hitter, starts slightly open showing good rhythm to the swing as he gets back to even and the barrel works through the zone with looseness in the hands impacting the ball to the middle of the field with some jump when squared up.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
