Steven Serna is a 2025 1B/LHP with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from El Paso, TX who attends Eastwood. Long, lanky lender build with plenty of room to add more muscle. Ran the 60 yard dash in 8.44 seconds. Primary first baseman, worked through the ball well, displayed soft hands with decent footwork. Had a clean transition with accurate throws across, clocked up to 76 mph. From the mound, throws from a loose three-quarter arm slot, threw strikes and attacked hitters well. The fastball sat 69-74 mph with arm side run and slight sink, commanded the fastball well to both sides of the plate. Mixed in a slurvy breaking ball that had some sweeping actions to it. At the plate hit from a slightly open stance with a toe tap trigger, displayed a quick level swing with pull side pop. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
