Beckham Barney is a 2025 C/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Mesa, AZ who attends Mountain View. Large, square shouldered frame with a long and lean build, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.73 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, low set up behind the plate and remains low throughout actions, gains ground with lower half and will continue to refine footwork, lower slot on throws down to second base, shows accuracy on throws. Also pitched, maintains short arm action on the mound with a tight release and an over-the-top slot; nice tempo throughout delivery, worked around the zone and pitched to contact, topped out at 75 mph and flashes running life to arm side, mixed a developing slider at 69 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing in the box. Stays shorter to the ball from launch, looks to lift at the point of contact with a high finish through the ball. Tends to open front side early in swing, shows ability to work the middle and opposite parts of the field, timing components to swing. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
