2022 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Luis Sosa is a 2025 1B/LHP, OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Palmetto Senior HS. Recorded an 8.35 second 60-yard dash time. Larger frame with present strength on the build. Primary first baseman with solid fundamental footwork and has deliberate actions. Hands out in front with a clean transition. Made the plays nicely and had throws up to 83 mph. Also worked out from secondary position of the outfield. Secondary left-handed pitcher with a clean, repeatable delivery and works downhill. Strong lower half and has good direction to the plate. Quick arm action with some whip and flexibility. Curveball shows 2/8 shape with depth and sharpness. Flashed a couple of changeups that he killed spin on. Left-handed hitter with an open stance, high hand set, and upright start. Flashed some carry to the pull side but mostly sprayed line drive contact all over the field. Tremendous student.
