Will Hayes is a 2027 RHP/OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Highlands Ranch, CO who attends Valor Christian. Large, well-proportioned frame with long levers and huge physical projection remaining. Recorded a 7.11 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked from a well-balanced, stretch only operation with a higher, coiled leg lift and excellent lower half movements out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 80s throughout his outing, cutting and sinking the fastball effectively and topped out at 86 mph from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Showed feel for spin with the ability to manipulate both speed and shape to his slider, while adding sweep and vertical depth to it depending on the handedness of the hitter. Flashed heavy changeup with tons of side spin and fade to its action, will continue to refine mechanically and has tons of velocity upside remaining. Secondary outfielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Comes and gets the baseball with good pace, athleticism and proper footwork. Maintains momentum into release and produced huge arm strength up to 90 mph during drills. Displayed tons of carry on his throws and was accurate. Right-handed hitter that creates some leverage out in-front, while exhibiting plenty of strength at impact. Loose, leveraged stroke with good separation, generates easy lift and stays connected despite his length. Exhibits legitimate power potential that will only continue to expand. Immensely projectable, young right-hander with an enticing overall skill set and huge ceiling on the mound. Named to the 2023 Perfect Game Select Baseball Festival.
