2023 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Christopher Padilla is a 2025 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-7 125 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Alonso. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, has a quiet load and a simple and short swing approach, small stride into contact, has surprising hand quickness for his size and age and gets the barrel out with good barrel control, solid line drive contact to all fields, has hitting tools to develop if he can continue to get stronger. 7.61 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, step by step actions through the ball, makes accurate soft throws with developing arm strength. Also worked out in the infield and showed similar step by step actions. Also pitched, threw exclusively from the stretch. Leg lift up to the belt with a full arm swing. Curveball showed 11/5 shape and landed for strikes. Threw strikes with some sink on the fastball and topped out at 79 mph. Good student.
