Cole Cosby is a 2023 C/RHP/MIF/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Lumberton, TX who attends Lumberton. Medium compact athletic frame. Ran a 7.33 60-yard dash. Versatile defender that can play all over the field. Footwork to the baseball with the glove out front and carrying momentum through the baseball to throw. Throws downhill with well above average arm strength and accuracy to bases. Attacks the baseball in the infield with developing footwork, average defensive actions fielding and a well above average throwing arm. Caught from a high set up with a solid average exchange gaining ground and a strong throwing arm with carry and accuracy to bases. Hit from a wide base and square stance, creates some hand separation and takes a direct hand path to the baseball and a level path through the zone. Has some strength in the swing and put together a few connected swings where he drove the baseball gap to gap. Fastball/curveball on the mound out of a high three-quarter arm slot. Fastball topped at 84 with some cutting action and mixed in a sweeping breaking ball that he maintained arm speed on. Some arm speed to develop and present strike throwing ability that makes him an intriguing option on the mound. Named to Top Prospect List. Good student.
