Carson Litchfield is a 2023 1B/RHP, 3B, OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Summerville, SC who attends Ashley Ridge. Recorded a 7.34 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, slender frame with long limbs and plenty of room to fill out. Primary first baseman with a developing defensive skill set; incorporates deliberate footwork into the fielding process, bending slightly at the waist to field deeper with two hands. Displays accurate throwing arm across the diamond, recording arm strength up to 72 mph. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works from a quick paced, simple delivery. Fastball worked in the low-70s for the most part, topping out at 73 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Proficient strike thrower that adds and subtracts to his fastball, flashing some natural arm-side run to it when down in the strike zone. Will continue to improve with further advancement of pitch repertoire and additional velocity. Took part in the infielders portion of the defensive workout as well, showing similar deliberate footwork into the fielding process and slightly deeper funnel to field. Recorded arm strength up to 71 mph across during infield drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, slightly open stance with a tight hand set, high back elbow and big leg lift trigger. Low-effort, contact oriented swing with some looseness to his hands and the ability get the barrel out in front. Middle-of-the field approach with occasional line drive impact and consistent bat-to-ball skills. Plenty of projection remaining, will continue to improve with proper adjustments and additional strength. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
