Jayden Ohrt is a 2026 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from North Liberty, IA who attends Clear Creek Amana. He has a medium frame with a thin build and plenty of room to add strength. Ran the forty yard dash in 5.69 seconds. Primary left-handed pitcher that works from the first base side of the rubber. He features a knee to above the belt leg kick and uses drop and drive back leg mechanics. He does a nice job of pushing down the mound towards the plate and lands in line with the target. He has a short arm action and fires from a high 3/4 arm slot. He does a nice job of getting extended at release and worked his fastball to both sides of the plate. His curveball has slurvy actions with nice sink. He showed the ability to locate his change up that showed nice fading action with sink. Secondary first baseman that showed the ability to get into a good fielding position. He gets his glove down early and fields it out in front of his body. He throws with a long, circular arm action and made accurate throws. Left-handed hitter that starts with a medium base that is slightly open with his weight all the way back. He has an even hand set and uses a lift and replace stride for timing. His swing is rotational and he showed good hand speed through the zone. Excellent student.
