Ethan Martin is a 2024 SS/MIF with a 5-7 116 lb. frame from Garfield, AR who attends Rogers Heritage. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball out front, takes longer strides moving up the middle, opens front side early prior to release, shows some carry on throws, upper body release with footwork that will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and lower back elbow at the plate. Stays short to the ball with swing path, contact oriented approach, short finish through point of contact. Worked the middle of the field with a linear path, can implement additional lower half shift into contact, shows a handle for the barrel with developing strength. Very good student.
