Joey Marker is a 2023 SS/RHP, IF with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Indianola, IA who attends Carlisle. Ran a 7.79 second sixty. Primary short stop with a smaller athletic build. Showed some feel for the glove with developing footwork as he worked around the ball. Gains little ground into the throws with developing arm strength across the diamond. Starts with a side step into a belt high leg lift before working down the mound into a stiff front side with the arm getting to an over the top arm slot. Kept the fastball at the bottom of the zone at 74-78 mph at his most effectiveness, also showed a breaking ball with 11-5 shape in the upper 60's with average depth. Right-handed hitter, uses a hanging leg lift trigger to time up the swing. Showed good hand speed through the zone finding the barrel at a high rate with a flatter bat path. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
