Joey Karpiak is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Calgary, AB who attends Bishop Carroll. He has a tall frame with a slender build and plenty of room to add strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.36 seconds. Primary outfielder that is patient in approaching the ball and fields it deep by his body. He throws with a long arm action and showed looseness in his shoulders. Secondary right-handed pitcher that has a knee to belt leg kick and works in line with the plate well. He has a medium arm action and fires from a high 3/4 arm slot. He is able to generate some arm side run on his fastball and his curveball has 11-5 shape. Right-handed hitter that starts in a wide base with low hands and a low back elbow. He uses a simple stride and showed strength in his hands. His swing is rotational and creates loft on his line drives when he is on time. He has a pull approach and showed good carry into the gap.
