2022 High School All State Select Championship (2023-2024 Grads)
Andrew Frausto is a 2024 SS/RHP, 3B, MIF, OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Placentia, CA who attends El Dorado. Medium, athletic frame with room to add strength and fill out. Recorded a 7.24 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary shortstop with first step quickness, good lateral range and proper footwork during the fielding process. Worked downhill through the baseball, displayed a clean funnel and showed the ability to change arm slots when necessary. Recorded online, accurate throws up to 87 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a quick-paced full windup delivery with good movements down the slope and plenty of present arm speed. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 80s for the majority out of his outing and topped out at 88 mph in this look. Repeats extremely well, pounds the strike zone and sequences effectively. Showed ability to land breaking ball for strikes, while manipulating both speed and shape when ahead in the count. Aggressive strike thrower with receiver mentality and legitimate two-pitch mix. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, slightly open stance with a tight hand set, high back elbow and subtle leg lift trigger. Simple, repeatable stroke with low effort, strength in his hands and present bat speed. Middle-of-the field approach with good adjustability and feel for the barrel. Swing translated well into game action, as he produced several well-struck line drives including a homer. Fundamentally sound in all aspects of his game with legitimate two-way abilities and some projection remaining. Excellent Student. Named to the 2022 High School All State Select Championship Top Prospect List.
