2021 Sunshine West Showcase
Marc-Anthony Carroll is a 2024 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Fresno, CA who attends Clovis West. Slender young build with lots of time and room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, has a simple swing approach with a well timed lift and replace load, limited lower half shift and torque at present, short hands driven swing with good hand quickness for his size and age, middle of the field line drive approach, projects well as a hitter with added strength and physical maturity. 7.40 runner in the sixty, has smooth and athletic actions in the middle of the field defensively, soft hands, nice lower half body control, has a quick glove to hand transfer and throws comfortable from multiple arm slots, really projects well defensively. Also pitched, has a compact arm and a full array of pitches he tunnels well and throws for strikes. Fastball topped out at 79 mph with plenty more velocity there. Slider was his best breaking ball with good firmness and tilt, change up was also advanced for a 2024 with very nice sinking action. Skills are there, simply a matter of getting stronger.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
