Reese Marcum is a 2023 RHP with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Lexington, SC who attends Lexington. Medium athletic build with a strong lower half. Simple well paced mechanics with a high well balanced leg raise, long and loose arm action, lands a bit open on his front side. Fastball worked up to 91 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side run. Gets tight spin on a hard slurve type breaking ball with good depth, was not consistent landing the pitch but it has potential. Flashed a straight change up as well. Young power pitcher's body and arsenal. Outstanding student, verbal commitment to South Carolina.
