2022 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Caleb Fletcher is a 2025 C/RHP, MIF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Hillsboro, VA who attends Woodgrove. Recorded a 7.68 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, athletic frame with present lower half strength and room to physically mature. Primary catcher that receives from a slightly side-saddled stance with soft hands, quick footwork out of the crouch and direct mid-line transfers to throw. Gains ground towards his target efficiently, while staying low and online into release. Recorded arm strength up to 79 mph during drills, repeating his movements effectively to mimic game like actions. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a simple, repeatable operation with controlled movements into balance and good lower half movements down the slope. Fastball worked in the 79-81 mph range for the majority of his outing and topped out at 83 mph from an over-the-top arm slot. Displays effortless arm speed with good command of the strike zone, creates downhill plane to his fastball that jumps on hitters. Mixed in developing breaking ball that varied in shape at 72 mph, flashing occasional sharp bite that will continue to improve with minor refinements. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, even base with a high, tight hand set and high back elbow. Incorporates toe-tap trigger for timing, while using a good weight shift into contact. Middle-of-the field approach with quickness to his hands, advanced feel for the barrel and consistent impact from gap-to-gap. Displays some burgeoning power potential that will continue to expand with additional strength and maturity. Projectable, young prospect with advanced catch-and-throw skill set, offensive prowess and some potential two-way abilities as he continues to mature. Good Student.
