Ian Kersten is a 2024 C/3B/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Valor Christian High School. Recorded a 6.73 second 60-yard dash time. Primary catcher with a medium frame and strong build. Staggered feet setup with low stance on throws up to 75 mph. Clean exchange working under the ball with true pop time behind the plate at 1.93. Quick release to a high slot with accuracy around the bag. Secondary outfielder with athleticism moving around to fundamental one-hand gather and accurate throwing arm to the bases at 86 mph. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and high hands setup in the box. Weight shifted to the backside with short stride and separation to high back elbow slot. Short compact stroke with quick hands and barrel control through the zone. Excellent student.
