Tailor Golly is a 5'4, class of 2024, C/3B, UT from Grimes, IA who attends Dallas Center-Grimes Community HS. Tailor is a young, up and coming player with a sound fundamental foundation who appears poised to make a big jump over the next few years. She ran a 3.44 20-yard dash with a 1,55 5-yard split. Tailor is a primary catcher and shows a certain grasp on the basics of this all too important position. Her foundation should allow her to continue to gain the skill level that will give her the opportunity to play at the next level down the road. She gives great effort in receiving the ball. Her glove is sure. She transitions well and her 50-mph throws are solid. Her 2.14 pop time is plus average, Really like her try-hard attitude. Tailor also took a round on the infield. She is measured and consistent in and with her footwork. Her glove work is sound and age appropriate. Her 54-mph throwing velocity is plus average for her age. Like her want-to nature and obvious passion for the game. At the plate, Tailor has an emerging ability to swing the bat, She has a great feel for the bunt game and this should serve her well throughout her career. She has a contact first approach and does a fine job of getting her barrel to and through contact. As she matures physically, there is a chance for a power element to be added. Her swing operation is sound. As Tailor gains experience and is exposed to higher level competition, her game should elevate. Her positive body language says that softball is important to her. Tailor's desire and obvious joy for the game is apparent and should continue to serve her well as she continues down her playing path.
