Ethan Kearney is a 2023 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Thousand Oaks, CA who attends Agoura. Lean young build with lots of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, hits from a narrow slightly open base, good lower half shift into contact, has a short and repeatable swing that finds the barrel consistently, middle of the field approach, just needs additional strength to improve as a hitter. 7.47 runner in the sixty. Comes to ball well in the outfield with a quick transition into his throws, fields the ball cleanly, developing arm strength. Also took a turn on the mound, over the top arm slot with big upper body tilt, fastball topped out at 68 mph. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
