Reed Guess is a 2025 3B/RHP, 1B, 2B with a 5-8 166 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Southwest Florida Christian Ac. A compact frame and bigger build with well-proportioned strength. Ran a 7.24 60-yard dash. Primary corner infielder who worked out at shortstop with two hands working to it out front. He threw 76 mph across the diamond, making the outs. Worked out at first base as well. Fielded it with two hands out front, showing a clean exchange through it. Accurate with his throws through the round. He worked out as an outfielder as well, fielding it off to the side of the front foot. He had a higher slot on his throws, and the throws worked uphill. Took some extra steps with a crow-hop working into it. He was accurate around the bag, throwing 78 mph. A right-handed hitter with an inverted front foot to set up. The hands are high, and he has a high back elbow setting up. He was able to turn it over with a good middle-of-the-field approach during his round of swings. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with a stretch-only delivery. He hinges well into his lower half and had some slight coil with the lower half working down the slope. He stays compact with his operation. The fastball worked up to 76 mph, pairing it with a curveball that had slower and bigger break. Showed a changeup in the mid-60s, killing spin and using it to get outs. Executed his pitches well and pieced together an effective outing on the mound. Great student.
