Gibson Rath is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Fountain Valley, CA who attends Fountain Valley. Developing build that stands to drastically improve as he continues to progress. Primary outfielder, is very aggressive to the baseball, great job of jumping on the ball quickly. Glove works out in front, clean transfer, makes a large crow hop on his throws to all bags. Solid carry on his throws for his build. Arm strength will continue to develop nicely alongside his build. On the mound, has a longer arm action from a high three-quarters slot. High leg lift with simple and repeatable mechanics. Fastball sits 74-76 mph, works it to both sides of the plate with intent. Curveball has a large 11-to-5 shape and he has the ability to locate it in the zone for strikes. Mixes in a 71 mph changeup that he occasionally cuts at the window. At the plate, uses a narrow and upright stance with good feel for the barrel. Flat barrel plane through the zone, has a slight sway in rhythm with the pitcher pre-pitch. At his best when using the middle of the field.
