Bowen is a 5-8 right hander who is trying to master the knuckleball. He has some natural arm strength and will consistently hit 82-83 mph with his fastball, which he threw about 30% of the time. His fastball looks more like 93 coming out of his quick arm and following the knuckler. Bowen’s knuckleball varies between 63 and 71 mph and gets much better dancing life when he throws it at the lower velocities. When he throws a good one, it's fairly unhittable. The bottom drops out of it at times. The velocity on his fastball makes him a good gamble at a high level college. If he gains consistency in the Knuckler, anything is possible at any college.
