Davin Tuckey is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Troy, NY who attends Troy. Recorded a 7.28 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, slender frame with plenty of room to fill out. Primary outfielder with good acceleration into the fielding process, clean funnel off to the side and well-maintained momentum into release. Displayed some adjustability when fielding, gathering fairly clean to work into a longer arm action with some whip to it. Recorded arm strength up to 82 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher; deliberate paced delivery with small side-step rocker, belt high leg lift and good usage of his lower half down the slope. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s for the most part, topping out at 78 mph in this look from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Fastball flashes occasional arm-side with life through the bottom of the zone. Strike thrower with ability to command both sides of the plate, mixed in sharp 11-5 shaped curveball that has true swing-and-miss potential. Left-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and a inward, hanging leg lift trigger. Contact oriented swing with elongated, uphill swing path and rotational lower half components. Mostly pull-side contact with developing feel for the barrel and occasional line impact when on-time. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student.
