Michael Wood is a 2023 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-1 213 lb. frame from Glendora, NJ who attends Triton. Broad-shouldered, large frame with some present strength throughout his frame. Recorded a 7.77-second sixty time. Primary first baseman, some feel for actions around the bag with deliberate footwork. Developing arm strength, up to 68 mph from across the diamond from a lower arm slot. Secondary outfielder, aggressive approach to the ball, fielding off to the side, carrying his momentum through his throws. Deep arm swing from an over-the-top slot, up to 72 mph on his throws to the plate. Left-handed hitters, sets up with an even stance and a high-hand set. Flashed some juice to the pull side when he got his foot down on time with a hover trigger. Present strength in his hands with developing bat-to-ball skills. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
