Zachary Ferro is a 2023 C/3B/OF with a 5-8 185 lb. frame from Marco Island, FL who attends Marco Island Academy. Ferro works out of a physical build, showcasing the ability to get downhill quickly and effectively from his primary spot behind the dish, posting a 1.97 pop time. The quick compact mechanics translated to the infield, where Ferro touched 80 mph across the diamond. The righty also flashed ability on the mound, getting downhill well with arm side run present on the fastball. As the mechanics refine, offspeed should become more of a factor. On the offensive end, he started from a slightly open stance with intent to create lift and carry on the baseball. Ferro generated good lower half rotation and consistently worked the pull side of the field. Ran a 7.49 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
