Stafford Johnson is a 2027 SS/RHP, MIF, OF with a 5-4 105 lb. frame from Temecula, CA who attends Temecula Valley High School. Features a smaller frame with plenty of room/time to add strength/athleticism. Ran a 8.33 60-yd dash. Defensively in the INF, showed present understanding of fundamentals. Sets body into good fielding posture getting low and displaying his glove on-time and out front. Correct feet that work through the baseball at reception with avg. quickness and range. At the plate, he sits with a medium base. He uses a shorter/simple forward move that allows him to maintain balance throughout the swing. Barrel works on a flatter path through with quality extension. Showed avg. bat speed for present barrel control. Showed a middle-of-the field approach throughot his BP round. On the mound, it's a simple operation where he uses a smaller length stride. Arm is loose/continuous in the back and to release with avg. armspeed/quickness. His fastball was up 70 and mixed in a developing larger breaking ball.
