Caden Watson is a 2024 RHP/1B, 3B with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Chapel Hill, NC who attends Woods Charter School. Strong, durable frame, ran a 8.30 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher, begins from the stretch, stays online, and gets over his front side well. Longer arm action coming from an over-the-top arm slot, filled up the zone with strikes, working both sides of the plate showing good command of his fastball. Topped at 75 miles per hour, while settling in at a 70-75 mile per hour range. Showed feel for a developing breaking ball that had various shapes. Repeats his delivery well. Secondary first baseman, fields out in front of his body. Soft hands with a clean glove, 71 miles per hour on his throws. Plays a but stiff, improvement to mobility and flexibility would benefit his game. Right-handed hitter starts out slight crouched at the waist with a high back elbow, using a toe-tap-trigger to get started. Uphill swing plane creating lift to the middle of the field. Easy swing creating a good amount of bat speed, does get a bit long but remains under control and doesn't play out of his shoes. Solid round of BP getting the barrel out to contact. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
