Gavin Kelly is a 2024 C/3B/MIF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Presto, PA who attends Pittsburgh Central Catholic. Medium height with a proportioned athletic frame and will fill out. Ran a 6.68 in the sixty yard dash. A primary catcher, very quick release and popped a 1.85 during drills. Easy arm strength with carry and and is a fluid mover, 79 mph arm bolts during drills. Also worked out on the infield and rounds the ball well with good actions, good versatility. A right-handed hitter, wider base with athletic movements from a sequence that starts from the ground. Fluid mover and level plane, can hit with authority to all fields with back spin. Very good profile for the athletic catcher. Outstanding student. Committed to West Virginia.
