Alex Banghart is a 2025 C/RHP, 3B with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Howell, MI who attends Brighton. Tall lean build. Primary backstop, moves with athleticism and pace out of the square crouch, quick tranfers to a from ear release. Worked downhill to the base with zip. Right-handed hitter, moderate base and high back elbow. Intial move is a striding load. Got the foot down a touch late at times but made up for it with a short compact stroke and above average bat speed. Strength in the hands is apparent. Line drive oriented approach lived through the middle of the field. On the mound, its a methodical delivery with slow fluid lift to the belt. Arm action drags to a three-quarters slot. Gets a good push down the slope and works linear to the dish. The fastball plays true with slight sink qualities at times. Attacked the lower portion of the zone to induced weak contact. Changeup played well off of it with tumble below the zone. Slider is a standard sweeper with decent length to it, not overly sharp or deceptive but serviceable at the present level. The body presents some intrigue as a prospect, with plenty of room to add muscle mass and unlock more explosiveness. 1.97 pop time. 7.51 60-yard. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
