Coleman Borthwick is a 2026 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-6 225 lb. frame from Freeport, FL who attends South Walton. Extra-large, broad shouldered frame with present physical strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.61 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, moves well for size and remains coordinated with actions, accurate throws across the diamond and shows athleticism throughout, can change slot as needed, loose arm with solid strength and carry to first base. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch with a high leg lift at top of delivery; short and compact arm action through the backside, repeats well and pumps the strike zone. Topped out at 85 mph and comes out of hand cleanly with riding life to fastball. Slider shows looser spin to it with depth through the zone up to 71 mph; mixed a changeup with diving action and replicated arm speed at release up to 74 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a pull back load of hands and a body turn at top of load, keeps hands inside the ball and looks to remain short to it. Comfort living to the middle of the field, ball jumps off of the barrel and does a nice job of repeating simple mechanics while looking to lift and elevate at the point of contact. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Auburn.
